Great Western Railway Contract 3 'Bristol' was created between the Great Western Railway and Mr McIntosh, contractor. The contract is dated somewhere between 01 June and 30 June 1836. The particulars of this contract was to build a line between Keynsham and Newton St Loe, Somerset. Many of the drawings are stamped with 'McIntosh V Great Western Railway' this refers to the 19 year legal battle between the contractor and the railway company for breach of contract.
